The former Seahawks star was arrested in Las Vegas earlier this week.
Marshawn Lynch DUI Arrest Video Released: Ex-NFL Star Told Police He Stole The Car, The Vehicle Was Missing A Tire:
According to an arrest report obtained by USA Today, the 36-year-old was taken into custody after police found him asleep behind the wheel of a Shelby GT500. During the arrest, officers noted that Lynch’s car was in an “undrivable condition.
Not only was it missing the front wheel and rim on the driver’s side of the car, but the front tire on the passenger side had also almost fallen off.
According to the police report, when officers found Lynch they
“observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle, his person and his breath along with bloodshot, watery eyes.”
Despite those observations from police, Lynch “stated that he was not drinking and he does not do drugs,” according to the report.
The former NFL running back also noted that “he stole the vehicle,” according to the police report.
One of the officers involved in the arrest was wearing a body cam and you can see some of that footage below. In the video, you can hear Lynch ask why he’s in trouble.
“What is the problem?” Lynch asks. “The car’s not on, the car’s not going.”
Lynch is now facing a total of four charges from the arrest, including DUI, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to stay in his lane, and failure to surrender.

Lynch, whose bail was set at $3,381, now has a court date scheduled for December. According to Lynch’s attorneys, Richard A. Schonfeld and David Z. Chesnoff, their client shouldn’t have been charged with DUI.
“Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI,” the attorneys said, via the Seattle Times. “Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation. We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law. Marshawn appreciates and is thankful for everyone’s concern and support.”
The arrest comes just one day after the Seahawks had announced that Lynch would be serving as a special correspondent for them this season, a role that will have him producing “creative content for a variety of projects.”
The Super Bowl-winning running back spent seven of his 12 seasons in Seattle where he became a star thanks in large part to his bruising running style.
However, he did also run into some legal trouble while in Seattle.
Lynch was arrested for DUI in July 2012 while playing for the Seahawks, but the charge was later reduced to reckless driving after the running back agreed to plead guilty.
